Parish School of Religion (PSR) is held on Wednesdays from 6pm-7:15pm in the Parish Life Center beginning for students entering into 1st through 5th grade Fall of 2026. Open House will be on Sunday, August 16th beginning with 10:30 am Mass, then "Meet the Teacher."

✝️ Grade 1: God's Promise of a Savior

First graders explore the foundation of God's love and the origin of our salvation along with being introduced to saints, Bible stories, and prayers.

  • Creation & Love: Learning that God loves humanity and created the universe.
  • The Fall & Promise: Understanding how sin broke the world and how God promised to send a Savior.
  • The Life of Jesus: Studying Christ's arrival, His life, and how His sacrifice saves us from sin.
  • Divine Life: Introducing how children share in Jesus’ life through the Church.



🥖 Grade 2: Salvation History & The Sacraments

Second grade primarily serves as a deeply transformative sacramental preparation year specifically for First Reconciliation.

  • God's Saving Plan: Tracing how God's historical promise of salvation is fulfilled directly through Jesus Christ.
  • First Reconciliation: Understanding mercy, confession, and how Jesus forgives sins.
  • First Holy Communion: Learning about the Real Presence of Christ and preparing to receive Him in the Eucharist.



🕊️ Grade 3: The Holy Spirit & The Life of Grace

Third graders pivot to learning how the Holy Spirit sustains their spiritual lives and review, along with expand, on First Communion.

  • Communion of Love: Studying how humanity was created for perfect communion, how sin broke it, and how Jesus repaired it.
  • The Mass & Worship: Deepening an understanding of the structure, meaning, and prayers of the Catholic Mass.
  • Our Mission: Exploring what it looks like to carry out a Christian mission in daily life powered by grace.



📜 Grade 4: The Creed & Our Response of Faith

Fourth grade focuses heavily on Catholic doctrine and the core tenants of faith.

  • The Pillars of Faith: Unpacking the Apostles' and Nicene Creeds section by section to learn what Catholics believe.
  • The Trinity & Church: Diving deep into the roles of God the Father, Jesus Christ the Son, and the Holy Spirit within the Holy Catholic Church.
  • Eternity: Exploring the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting.



💧 Grade 5: Liturgy & Worship

Fifth graders take a comprehensive look at the liturgical life of the Church.

  • The Paschal Mystery: Learning how our life of grace flows dynamically from Christ's passion, death, and resurrection.
  • Sacramental Victory: Examining the deep theological meaning behind Baptism, the Holy Spirit, and the broader sacramental system.
  • Justice & Response: Discovering how humans respond to God's ultimate work through authentic worship, liturgical participation, and living justly.
