King's House at the National Shrine of Our Lady of the Snows

King’s House Retreat and Renewal Center is a welcoming place where all people can find an atmosphere of prayerful solitude, communal worship, and spiritual companionship. Prompted by the Gospel values of Jesus Christ, we will help people seek wholeness as they reflect upon God and themselves in relation to one another. We draw upon our Oblate heritage, inspired by the exhortation of our founder, St. Eugene De Mazenod, to “spare no effort to awaken or reawaken the faith in the people to whom we are sent,” especially those on the margins of church and society. We look to Mary Immaculate as model and inspiration, responding with faith and total openness to the call of the Spirit. Through our ministry of formation, healing and renewal, we celebrate the personal integration and spiritual transformation of ourselves and others.

What can I expect on retreat?

A retreat provides time away from our busy lives to pray, rest, and reflect on our relationship with God. King’s House Retreat Ministry is located at the National Shrine of Our Lady of teh Snows in Belleville, IL. The beautiful grounds and hospitable accommodations of King’s House provide the space, solitude, and comfort needed to ponder life’s questions and deeply experience God’s love. A King’s House retreat includes inspirational conferences, prayer, and the opportunity to talk with our qualified staff. A King’s House retreat is just the right mix of quiet and conversation, rest and activity to nurture and renew the soul, mind and body.
