Space Camp
When St. Paul students become 7th Graders, they look forward to the annual trip to Space Camp in Huntsville, Alabama.
The previous year, as 6th Graders, the students and their parents begin the process of earning money for their trip to Space Camp by hosting a Spaghetti Dinner, a Trivia Night and Market Day Sales.
When the big day arrives, students board a chartered bus at 5 a.m. and head for the first stop at the Opryland Hotel in Nashville where they stretch their legs and take in the sites.
Once arriving at Space Camp, the students are introduced to a tour guide who provides a full schedule of events for each day they are there.
The guide is with them as they participate in each event, including space simulators, the space shot, Ominimax theatre and museums. It is a trip that promises a good time and as much information on space and aeronautics as the students can possibly learn in three days!
The Space Camp trip also fosters camraderie and fellowship amongst the students...
